It gives us great pleasure to announce that we have won the “Project Team of the Year” category at the Digital Technology Leaders Awards 2020!
The Computing Digital Technology Leaders Awards exist to recognise the achievements of the individuals and companies who are really making it happen at the coal face of the digital technology stack: from website design and coding to UX and project management, from scrum masters and product managers, all the way up to the CDO.
The Vodafone Integration team, including team members from Vodafone UK and Sandhata, have been recognised for the innovative and far-reaching changes delivered as part of the TIL Transformation Project.
The Vodafone Integration Team
As one of the UK’s big 4 telcos, Vodafone UK is under huge pressure and stiff competition from new digital-ready challenger telcos who are gaining market share. Digital innovation at speed is necessary to remain in the market. The team realised that their ability to deliver changes and expose APIs was a critical pre-requisite for Vodafone UK to evolve their digital technology stack and address customer demand.
The team, including team members from Vodafone UK and Sandhata, took ownership of these issues and implemented a sweeping transformation project to propel Vodafone UK forwards to achieve its digital goals.
From this project, the Integration team has been truly transformed: the TIL application has been modernized embracing DevOps principles, and each team member has seen significant improvements in their productivity as well as their personal satisfaction.
The Sandhata team have played an important role in the team’s transformation, driving the initiatives within this project and injecting cutting-edge DevOps principles and their own hard-won best-practice experience.
