All of us here at Sandhata are so proud to announce that we have won the “DevOps Project of the Year” category at the DevOps Excellence Awards 2020!

Now in its 4th year, the DevOps Excellence Awards celebrate and recognise outstanding achievement from organisations and solutions operating within the DevOps space.

Sandhata, in partnership with Vodafone UK, has been recognised for the innovative TIL Transformation Project, delivered by the Vodafone UK Integration Domain and Sandhata.

 

The TIL Transformation Project

The TIL Transformation Project was a very ambitious, high impact project to completely transform the way the Integration team delivers changes in the TIL platform by building a scalable and reusable DevOps framework. They were hindered by manual and inefficient processes, lack of consistency and an evolving application stack which was becoming increasingly unmanageable.

This transformation project has driven significant improvements across the whole division including one click deployment and a huge increase in the speed of the application releases (from two days to minutes). The DevOps best practices and behaviours which have been adopted have been a catalyst for a step change in team engagement, productivity and quality. This project, in the first year, has resulted in an overall cost saving of £3.3 million already!

 

Commenting on the award, Sandhata’s CEO, Gary Thornhill said:
