Supporting the next generation of IT professionals

At Sandhata, we know how important it is to provide opportunities support for students and college graduates and support them to upskill. We have an active graduate intake programme, and aim to provide our graduate joiners with wide exposure to different industries, different technologies and challenges, to kick-start their careers.

This year we have taken on 4 intern students to work on a new mobile app for our employees. They themselves came up with the mobile app idea based on the existing web app.

The Internship Project

The scope of the project was to design, build, and deliver a mobile app for Sandhata employees to record their timesheets. We wanted to overhaul the process for timesheet management and take advantage of new technologies available to create a high quality, simple to use service.

Effective team members achieve a state of flow

You are a developer, working on a tricky problem, but you can’t seem to get into the right mindset to solve it. You keep getting distracted by meetings / instant messages / emails, and when you come back to it, the ideas you had have gone out of your head and you spend 10 minutes (or longer) remembering where you got to before you can make any progress!

We have all been there. It is a common and frustrating problem.

But there is hope!

DevOps Hackathon – New solutions to old problems

One of our most experienced employees, Suresh Kotha, was part of the winning team in a recent Hackathon held at one of our clients, NatWest Group.

The team of 6, the “Infra Hackers”, competed against more than 20 other teams to build a working prototype using DevOps principles tasked with addressing a business challenge or introducing a new innovative way of working.

Their solution, an end to end release automation tool, integrated with the key tools used across the NatWest Group to deliver an end-to-end change governance solution. It was built in 2 weeks and there were multiple rounds of judging from senior roles in the organisation including Head of IT.

Sandhata Technologies, in partnership with Vodafone UK, are very proud to have been announced as finalists in 2 categories at the DevOps Industry Awards 2020.

The DevOps Industry Awards celebrate the companies and individuals who have accomplished significant achievements when incorporating and adopting DevOps practices. The awards are judged by an independent panel of judges from some of the world’s biggest organisations.

Winners – Digital Technology Leaders Awards 2020

It gives us great pleasure to announce that we have won the “Project Team of the Year” category at the Digital Technology Leaders Awards 2020!

The Computing Digital Technology Leaders Awards exist to recognise the achievements of the individuals and companies who are really making it happen at the coal face of the digital technology stack: from website design and coding to UX and project management, from scrum masters and product managers, all the way up to the CDO.

The Vodafone Integration team, including team members from Vodafone UK and Sandhata, have been recognised for the innovative and far-reaching changes delivered as part of the TIL Transformation Project.

On this day, 15 years ago, a small yet ambitious consultancy was formed, focusing on delivering high quality system integration and IT transformation services to large organisations.

The 4 founders – Srinivasa Alluri, Babji Vundavilli, Khalai Chelvan and Kumar Narayanan believed they could provide a better quality service than other System Integrators, with specialised and highly experienced consultants able to solve the important business problems for their clients.
