What have we been up to?

2022 is well underway! I thought now was a good time to take a look back over the first 100 days of 2022 and recap on what’s been going on at Sandhata.

New Technical Frontiers

In April 2022, we launched our new API Platform. This is a really exciting milestone for us as we are now able to support our clients better by providing them with API services or a fully hosted API Platform.

January saw us sign a service agreement to provide employee services for Oracle across the Oracle stack.

We were very proud to achieve the milestone of over 100 consultants working at a single client. This is testament to our team’s excellence across many different technologies, and our client’s trust in us.

SE Asian DevOps Awards 2022

Sandhata Technologies, in partnership with Vodafone, are very proud to have been announced as Runner Up at the South East Asian DevOps Awards 2022 for “DevOps Team of the Year”.

The UNICOM SE Asian DevOps Awards celebrate outstanding achievement from organisations, personalities and solutions operating within the DevOps space. The awards are judged by an independent panel of judges from some of the world’s biggest organisations.

We Are Sandhata – Meet Varun

Based in the UK, Varun Arora is a Project Manager at Sandhata. We caught up with Varun to find out more about his role, his journey so far, and his hopes for the future.

Tell us about your role at Sandhata

I joined Sandhata in 2021 as Project Manager, working initially for one of our telecoms clients. I am really enjoying my role as it opens the gates for both technical and managerial exposure with stakeholder management. The Sandhata teams have lots of technical experience and in API management, integration and DevOps and I am excited about getting exposure and learning in these areas to grow my career.

Why is feedback fantastic?

So, you have a crack team delivering sterling work, who are highly skilled and hard working. But this team are not as productive as is hoped, and they frequently face production/service issues which take a lot of time to resolve. What gives?

Quite possibly, the team is delivering the wrong stuff (which does not improve the customer experience), or fire fighting issues blind because they don’t have the right information at the right time. Without regular feedback, projects can go off course, the wrong features can be built, and sometimes the wrong issue can be “fixed”!

The Computing Digital Technology Leaders Awards exist to recognise the achievements of the individuals and companies who are really making it happen at the coal face of the digital technology stack: from website design and coding to UX and project management, from scrum masters and product managers, all the way up to the CDO.

1st September 2021– Sandhata announces new partnership with Splunk Technologies to work together to provide bespoke dashboards and self-service analysis capabilities to its customers. Sandhata is using Splunk’s market leading machine-learning analytics capabilities to turn data into answers, and give businesses the real-time, actionable data they need to make the right decisions.

The Splunk platform has been integrated fully with Sandhata’s DevOps Innovation Platform on the Sandhata cloud environment. The DevOps Innovation Platform environment allows Sandhata to provide customised demos to their clients, giving the clients an idea of what they could achieve in their own systems, with no upfront investment.

What a difference a dashboard makes

Here at Sandhata the drive to experiment, learn, innovate, and solve problems cuts through everything we do. This is what we spend a large percentage of our time doing as consultants at Sandhata. It is an integral part of the Sandhata culture.

Our DevOps Innovation Platform is just one of the ways we do this. It gives our consultants opportunities to experiment and innovate with the latest technologies, keeping them at the top of their game, and helps to maintain Sandhata’s place at the forefront of the industry.

Effective team members achieve a state of flow

You are a developer, working on a tricky problem, but you can’t seem to get into the right mindset to solve it. You keep getting distracted by meetings / instant messages / emails, and when you come back to it, the ideas you had have gone out of your head and you spend 10 minutes (or longer) remembering where you got to before you can make any progress!

We have all been there. It is a common and frustrating problem.

But there is hope!
