One of our internal continuous improvement teams have recently launched an exciting new project:

Gini – A chatbot for Sandians

 

This chatbot is a first-line support system. It was built to assist Sandians with some of their internal tasks and to relieve load from support teams. Gini is configured with single sign on (SSO), and has integration with HRM tools.

 

We have enabled self-service for many common queries, including:

  • IT support issues
  • HR related questions such as policy information
  • Timesheet assistance and user guide
  • Internal training support
  • Finance and salary queries

What have we been up to?

 

2022 is well underway! I thought now was a good time to take a look back over the first 100 days of 2022 and recap on what’s been going on at Sandhata.

 

New Technical Frontiers

In April 2022, we launched our new API Platform. This is a really exciting milestone for us as we are now able to support our clients better by providing them with API services or a fully hosted API Platform.

 

January saw us sign a service agreement to provide employee services for Oracle across the Oracle stack.

 

We were very proud to achieve the milestone of over 100 consultants working at a single client. This is testament to our team’s excellence across many different technologies, and our client’s trust in us.

Supporting the next generation of IT professionals

At Sandhata, we know how important it is to provide opportunities support for students and college graduates and support them to upskill. We have an active graduate intake programme, and aim to provide our graduate joiners with wide exposure to different industries, different technologies and challenges, to kick-start their careers.

This year we have taken on 4 intern students to work on a new mobile app for our employees. They themselves came up with the mobile app idea based on the existing web app.

 

The Internship Project

The scope of the project was to design, build, and deliver a mobile app for Sandhata employees to record their timesheets. We wanted to overhaul the process for timesheet management and take advantage of new technologies available to create a high quality, simple to use service.

One of our most recent projects was delivering lifecycle automation for a Tier-1 client.  As with any and every “DevOps project”, there were a number of challenges we overcame when delivering the project. In this blog, I will talk about some of the hurdles we came up against and how we managed to work through them, as well as some of the project successes.

We see a few common challenges in some form or the other at every client we work with. The way we work through these challenges and overcome hurdles is where our skill and wide-ranging experience in delivering this type of DevOps project really come into their own.
